Bonphul 1.0 — The First Idea
On 19 July 2017, Bonphul Air Products was incorporated with a focus on indoor air quality. Anish Aneja — an industrial designer — joined as the first hire, becoming the third pillar of the founding team.
Over the following months, they refined the original oxygen machine. In doing so, they realised they weren't filling an existing product category — they were creating one. Globally, only Oxus in South Korea had built something similar. So they named their own space: Oxygen Optimizer. Their product became OxyMax.
It was a bold idea, but it didn't find traction. For three years, they pushed hard — distribution, digital marketing, partnerships. Sales stayed flat. In India, preventive health is acknowledged but rarely paid for proactively.
By early 2021, they were running out of runway.
Bonphul 1.0 — The First Idea

In April 2021, they moved into medical oxygen systems. They built OxyMan 50, a compact, affordable oxygen generator for hospitals and healthcare facilities.
The response was immediate. Hospitals needed dependable oxygen supply — OxyMan solved a clear, urgent problem. Deployments followed at Apollo Hospitals (Delhi & Hyderabad), Artemis Hospital (Gurgaon), and Cantonment Hospital (Agra), among others.
The business turned around. Past losses cleared. The company became profitable. This was Bonphul 2.0 — defined by survival, stability, and earned credibility.
They needed a new growth curve.
